# Learning > Learned settings are offers, based on recorded responses. You decide whether to apply them. ## How learned settings work Harny looks at the responses your app records for each kind of action. When those responses support a change, Harny offers one. An offer proposes a change to an existing action-kind setting. The change applies across the whole app. You can apply the offer or keep the current setting. Nothing changes until you choose. Learned settings come from recorded responses. They are not produced by a trained model. ## Where to find it Open the console and go to Actions, Automation, Learning. Offers appear there when recorded responses support one. ## Restoring a previous setting If you apply an offer and want the earlier setting back, you can restore it. A restore returns the previous setting for future actions only. It does not change actions that already ran. A restore only applies while no newer manual change has replaced the setting. ## Offers to move from Never allowed Harny can offer to change an action kind from Never allowed to Ask the user first. This offer never turns on acting without asking. The action waits for a yes before it runs. ## Saved instructions for the coding assistant In Automation, Instructions, you can save a written request for the coding assistant. A saved instruction is a request to implement a change. It is not an active rule. Nothing changes in how your agent behaves until the change is made. ## Next - [Permissions](/docs/agent-harness/permissions) - [Manual actions](/docs/agent-harness/manual-actions) - [Memory API](/docs/memory-api/overview)
