About Harny
Every AI app will run on a harness. Harny is that harness. It gives the agent inside your app everything it needs to work for each user. Memory of that user. The accounts they connect. Actions inside limits you set. A record of every action. Your agent keeps its own model. Your app keeps its own product.
The model is not the product. The harness is.
The field believes a better model makes a better agent. It does not. A model with no harness meets every user as a stranger, reads everything and remembers nothing. What makes an agent useful sits under the model: memory for each person, their connected accounts, limits the business sets, and a record someone can check.
An agent that works in a demo still has to work for real users. Today every team rebuilds that layer by hand before its agent does anything real, and copy-paste templates and toy agents fill the gap. That era is ending.
Harny is that layer, as one API and one MCP server, the standard way AI assistants connect to tools. Your team builds the agent and the product. Harny runs the memory, the connections, the limits and the record under it, on any model. As your app grows, Harny grows with it, because pricing counts the people an app serves each month.
How we work
- We publish our accuracy. Harny scores 85.1 on BEAM at the 128K tier and 96.9 on LongMemEval, two public benchmarks from published research papers. The method, the models, the per-ability scores and the results the BEAM paper reports are on the benchmarks page.
- We keep each user's data apart. Every read is scoped to the app and the user that asked. API keys are never stored in a form that can be read back. One erasure path removes a user's data from every store. The details are on the security page.
- Limits hold on our servers. The actions you allow are enforced by Harny, not by the agent. A step that needs a person's confirmation does not run without it.
- Every action is on the record. Each action an agent takes is written to a numbered record for your app. Export it as JSON or CSV, with a check that nothing is missing or altered.
- We ship in the open. Every release is dated in the changelog: 17 releases in the seven weeks to 27 October 2026.
- Set up by your coding agent. The docs, an OpenAPI spec and an MCP manifest are published as plain files, so a coding assistant can set Harny up from one prompt.
