Memory for property management
This page is for property managers who run tenants, leases, maintenance requests and renewals through an app with an AI agent. Harny gives each person who uses your app a private memory the app's AI can read, so a changed rent or lease end date with a newer timestamp becomes the current value, and the earlier value stays answerable by date.
What you are building
You are building an app where the office and its AI agent work on one tenant at a time. You can treat each tenant as one user, with their own memory. The agent reads that memory before it drafts a reminder, sorts a request or answers a question.
Why memory decides whether it works
- Facts change. Rent, lease end dates, pet rules, late fees and notice periods change. Your agent needs the current value, not the first one it saw.
- Dates matter. A renewal reminder is only right if the lease end date is right on the day it is sent. Memory is dated, so you can ask what was true on a given day.
- Tenants stay separate. One tenant's history should never answer a question about another tenant. Each person's memory is kept separate.
What Harny provides
- A Memory API that stores each person's facts with the time they happened.
- A changed value with a newer timestamp becomes the current value. The earlier value stays answerable by date.
- Recall with an as-of time (
queryTimestamp) that drops results that happened later. - App-wide permissions per kind of action, and a record of every action the agent takes.
Jobs an agent can do here
- Read a tenant's memory before it drafts a reminder.
- Read a tenant's memory before it sorts a maintenance request.
- Answer a question about a tenant from that tenant's own memory.
- Hand a signature or site visit to a person, who is marked complete by the owner.
Getting there
- Create your app with the no-account setup flow (a coding agent follows https://harny.ai/auth.md), or use an app key (starts fsa_).
- Send each tenant's facts with POST /v1/memory/ingest, with a timestamp for when each fact happened.
- Recall a tenant's current lease terms with POST /v1/memory/recall, using your id for the tenant in X-Harny-User.
- Connect a tenant's account through POST /v1/context-sources/{provider}/connect. Gmail and Calendar connect once Harny has approved Google access for the app. Hand a signature or site visit to a person with POST /v1/handoffs; the owner marks it complete with POST /v1/handoffs/{id}/resolve.
Who is billed for memory?
The first 500 monthly-active end users are free for good. Above 500, Harny bills per monthly-active end user. The price is $0.30 per monthly-active end user per month, flat.
